These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the website at merantiyporc.sbs and your engagement with services provided by Meranti Porch ("we", "us", "our") at Level 3, Dialog Tower, Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. By using our website or purchasing any service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Service" — Any product or engagement offered by Meranti Porch, including the Porch Hours Drop-In Pass, Multi-Generation Household Planning Workshops, and the Community Notice Board Toolkit.
- "User" / "You" — Any individual or organisation that accesses our website, contacts us, or purchases a service.
- "We / Us / Our" — Meranti Porch, a registered business entity in Malaysia.
- "Content" — Materials produced and provided by Meranti Porch as part of a service, including printed planners, templates, checklists, and written toolkits.
- "Agreement" — These Terms and Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or using any of our services, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian;
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
3. Description of Services
Meranti Porch provides general information, orientation, and organisational support services. Specifically:
- Drop-In Pass: Four individual advisory sessions (up to 30 minutes each) on everyday administrative matters. General information and orientation only.
- Household Planning Workshops: A four-session educational series focused on household organisation and document management. Organisational and educational content only.
- Community Notice Board Toolkit: An eight-week operational engagement for community organisations. Communications and operational support only.
Meranti Porch does not provide legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or professional representation of any kind. Nothing communicated during our sessions constitutes a professional opinion in any regulated field.
Services are available at our premises in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and for toolkit engagements, on-site within the Klang Valley area.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using our contact form or booking services;
- Attend booked sessions at the agreed time or notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule;
- Use our services only for lawful purposes;
- Treat our team members with respect during all interactions;
- Not misrepresent the nature of your enquiry in order to obtain a service outside our stated scope.
5. Intellectual Property
All content produced by Meranti Porch — including templates, checklists, planners, and written toolkits — remains the intellectual property of Meranti Porch unless otherwise stated in writing. Upon delivery:
- You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use delivered materials for your own household or organisation's internal purposes;
- You may not resell, redistribute, or present our materials as your own work;
- The website content, design, and branding of Meranti Porch are protected and may not be reproduced without written permission.
6. Payment Terms
- All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and include applicable taxes.
- The Drop-In Pass is paid in full before the first session.
- For workshop series and toolkit engagements, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the schedule. The remaining balance is due at the first session.
- Accepted payment methods: FPX bank transfer and DuitNow. No card payment required.
- Receipts are issued within one working day of payment confirmation.
Cancellation and refunds: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will not be rescheduled within the same pass. Deposits for workshop series or toolkit engagements are non-refundable once the scheduled start date has passed. If we cancel a session on our side, we will offer a replacement session at no additional cost.
7. Disclaimers
Our services are provided on an informational and organisational basis only. We make no representation that:
- Information provided during sessions is complete, current, or applicable to every individual situation;
- Following our orientation guidance will produce a specific outcome in dealings with any government body or third party;
- Our website will be available without interruption or error at all times.
You remain solely responsible for decisions made on the basis of information received during our sessions.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Meranti Porch's liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from your reliance on information provided during sessions or from any action taken on that basis.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will first be addressed through informal resolution — please contact us at [email protected] and we will aim to resolve matters within 14 working days.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, specifically the courts of Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated by a notice on our homepage for a period of at least 14 days.
